Talvenmaa – Conditions générales de vente
Article 1 – Legal Information

Article 2 – Purpose
These general terms and conditions govern the sale of private outdoor activities offered by Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique in Lapland. Any booking implies the client’s full and complete acceptance of these T&Cs.
Article 3 – Services
The services offered include snowmobiling, dog sledding, snowshoeing, and other nature activities led by a guide. Activities are private and adapted for small groups. The client agrees to follow the guide’s instructions and to be in good health compatible with the reserved activities.
Article 4 – Participation Conditions
Participation in activities offered by Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique requires :
- Physical fitness appropriate for the activity,
- Proper cold-weather clothing (not provided),
- Compliance with safety instructions given by the guide,
- No medical contraindications, musculoskeletal disorders, or ongoing pregnancy,
Compliance with specific criteria: for snowmobiling, children under 1.40 m (4’7”) are not allowed , a valid driver’s license from the country of residence must be presented, and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited. For dog sledding, the maximum weight per sled is limited to 160 kg..
Article 5 – Booking
Bookings can be made via the website, the Fareharbor booking platform, by email, or via the contact form. The company reserves the right to refuse a booking for safety or availability reasons.
Article 6 – Pricing and Payment Terms
Prices are quoted in euros, including VAT. They cover the guide’s services, necessary activity equipment, and any services specifically mentioned in the description.
Payment is required in full at the time of booking.
Not included: personal insurance, transport to the departure location, and any service not explicitly mentioned.
Article 7 – Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation by the client : Any cancellation by the client, for any reason, does not entitle them to a refund from Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique. As a purely commercial gesture and without obligation, the company may offer a rescheduling or activity change if circumstances and scheduling allow. This option remains at Talvenmaa’s sole discretion. Clients are responsible for purchasing travel/cancellation insurance to cover unforeseen events (illness, accident, transport, etc.).
Cancellation by the company (excluding extreme weather conditions) : Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique may cancel an activity for safety, animal welfare, or adverse weather conditions. In this case, rescheduling will be offered as a priority. If rescheduling is not possible, the client may receive a partial refund of 80% of the amounts paid (20% retained for management and booking fees).
Article 8 – Extreme Weather Conditions
In the event of exceptional and unforeseeable circumstances beyond control (climatic disaster, blizzard, storm preventing any activity, lack of snow), Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique will prioritize rescheduling or an alternative activity. If this is not possible, no refund can be claimed.
Article 9 – Responsibilities
The company is responsible for the proper execution of the activity within its scope. It cannot be held liable for accidents resulting from the client’s failure to follow safety instructions, reckless behavior, or a health condition incompatible with the activity.
The client agrees to follow the guide’s instructions, wear the provided safety equipment, and refrain from consuming alcohol or prohibited substances before and during the activity.
Article 9 bis – Material Damage and Deductible
Snowmobiles used by Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique are insured according to Finnish law. In case of damage caused by misuse, reckless driving, or failure to follow safety instructions, the client will be held responsible. The applicable insurance deductible is up to 1000 € per snowmobile. This maximum amount may be charged to the client in case of damage. Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique reserves the right to request a bank pre-authorization or deposit before the start of the activity.
Article 10 – Insurance
Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique has professional liability insurance. Clients must be covered by personal travel insurance including outdoor activity coverage.
Article 11 – Image Rights
During activities, photos and videos may be taken by Talvenmaa – Voyage en terre nordique. These images may be used for communication and promotional purposes (website, social media, commercial materials), unless the client expressly objects. Clients have the right to refuse the use of their image by notifying us in writing before the activity starts. No commercial use of clients’ images will be made without specific authorization.
Article 12 – Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms and conditions are governed by Finnish law. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts in Finland.
