Our summer experiences
Although still an underrated season for many, summer in Lapland has so much to offer: the extreme beauty of the midnight sun, more comfortable temperatures, sandy beaches for a refreshing swim, and above all, the discovery of untouched nature that bursts to life after spring… All of this through activities that are as exciting as they are varied.
The number of participants per private group is limited to 5 persons for dog-assisted hikes.
Please note : Hikin with our dog is not a “walk”; our dogs are trained sled dogs and exert constant pulling. While this is highly beneficial uphill, the activity requires good physical fitness on downhill sections.
Randonnée sous le soleil de minuit à Riisitunturi
Set out to discover the magnificent Riisitunturi National Park as the sun grazes the horizon without ever setting. Known for its snow-covered trees in winter, it also offers breathtaking landscapes and grand panoramas over the Posio region in summer. This evening experience is an opportunity to fully embrace summer in Lapland, connected with nature, in a carefully chosen location, and in good company.
There are two possible routes, a short 4km route or a long 10km route.
Available with or without the dogs.
Duration : Environ 3h (4km) ou 5h (10km)
Difficulty : Moderate
Includes : Collation (4km) ou déjeuner (10km)
Dog-hike in the forest
Set out on a forest hike in harmony with our pack! Odin, Ukko, Leiko, Ikran, or Yuki will gladly lead the way. The program includes dense forests, abundant berries (in season), and interesting viewpoints. This hike also has clear ecological value, with its numerous forest ponds, heritage forests, and sometimes surprisingly colored rocks. But above all, this outing is a true moment of bonding with your four-legged companion. Learn to pick the berries they love, give them cuddles, or simply let yourself be carried along by their unstoppable “will to go”! We will also stop for a snack in a traditional “laavu.”
Available with or without the dogs.

Tasting hike
In summer, nature in Lapland bursts to life after months of dormancy. Throughout the season, small natural treasures appear, fish become very active, and wildlife comes alive… Explore this abundant nature with your guide, taking the time to collect whatever interests you. Afterwards, we will enjoy a traditional Finnish meal around the fire, prepared by your guide and, whenever possible, enhanced with elements gathered during the hike.

Canoe trips / stays
Summer life in Lapland, especially when living in a lake-rich area like Posio, revolves around the lakes. Talvenmaa is located on the shores of Alajärvi, a wild lake made up of several islands and, most importantly, connected to a vast network of lakes. The possibilities for exploration are therefore endless! Additionally, contrary to what one might think, you are mostly protected from mosquitoes here.
We therefore offer guided outings for half day, full day,and multi-days trips with outdoor camping.
Duration : 3h, 5h, multi-day trip
Includes : snack (3h), lunch (5h), full table (multi-day trip)
